The staged portrait has a long tradition in the world of art. At the same time with new mobile technology the staged self-portrait has gained ground as the most widely used form of portrait photograph. ‘Selv–Iscenesat’ (Self-staged) lets tradition meet trend and focuses on the photographic self-portrait when 33 of Denmark’s renowned photographers creates their self-portrait and stage the story to be told. The Exhibition ‘Selv-Iscenesat’ was show at Teatermuseet i Hofteatret during the Copenhagen Photo Festival 2019 and the book is published in connection with the exhibition.
